Hello! I’m Michelle
MA, Registered Psychologist
As a registered psychologist in Calgary, I believe every individual has the ability to grow and change. Sometimes, they just need the right support to access it. That’s where I come in.
With over 30 years of experience in mental health care, I began my career as a mental health nurse in the UK. In 2010, I relocated to Calgary with my family, where I became fully registered with the College of Alberta Psychologists and am a member of the Psychologists’ Association of Alberta.
I specialise in working with adults and seniors who are navigating challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, stress, OCD, adult ADHD, and life transitions. Whether you’re navigating new transitions or long-standing difficulties, therapy can help you reconnect with what truly matters and move toward a more fulfilling life. My approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded in evidence-based practice. I draw on a wealth of experience to support meaningful, lasting change. Together, we will work toward you achieving your personal goals and improved well-being.
Outside of therapy, I enjoy singing (badly!) to 80s and Country music. I take far too many photos of our family bunnies. I also enjoy spending time on my motorbike and outdoors around Calgary.
Whether you’re seeking help for anxiety, OCD, trauma, or adult ADHD, I’m here to support you with clarity and confidence.

My Experience
With more than three decades of experience in mental health, I’ve worked in a variety of settings, including:
- Community mental health teams
- Addiction and substance use services
- Primary care clinics with family physicians
- Private practice
This broad experience has shaped a flexible and responsive approach that adapts to different client needs.
My Philosophy
I believe that people are not defined by their symptoms. Many of the challenges that bring someone to therapy, such as anxiety, OCD, trauma, or attention difficulties, are understandable responses to life experiences, even when they no longer feel helpful.
Therapy is a collaborative process that combines practical, evidence-based strategies with a steady and supportive relationship. I take an active and engaged role, adapting each approach to the individual. Meaningful change involves both insight and action, learning new ways to respond, building skills, and gradually facing what feels difficult in a way that feels realistic and sustainable.
I value the opportunity to help people make sense of their experiences and find practical ways to move forward, even when things have felt stuck for a long time.

My Therapeutic Approach
My approach integrates structured, research-supported methods with a steady and supportive therapeutic relationship.
Each person is unique, so I tailor my approach to your specific needs. Drawing on over 30 years of clinical experience, I provide treatment that is both practical and personalised.
Therapy may include a range of evidence-based approaches suited to your goals, including:
- Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT)
- Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART)
- Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT)
- Eye Movement Desensitisation & Reprocessing (EMDR)
- Exposure & Response Prevention (ERP)
In therapy, I help clients:
- Process unresolved emotional issues
- Identify and shift unhelpful thoughts and behaviours
- Develop coping tools to manage distress
- Build long-term resilience
- Become more confident in managing challenges independently
I bring warmth, professionalism, and a practical focus to each session. My aim is to offer a supportive space where insight and meaningful change can occur, helping you move forward in line with your values and goals.
Areas of Focus
While I support a range of adult mental health concerns, I have a particular clinical focus in:
- Anxiety disorders
- Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD)
- Trauma and post-traumatic stress
- Adult ADHD
- Stress and life transitions
